Good evening, Family! 🙏🏽
We begin 2022 by praising God for:
🤍 Granting our sweet AJ another birthday! May He grant him many, many more years of health and life!
🤍 We thank God that although Amel tested positive for COVID, the Lord has kept him from exhibiting any symptoms. May He keep him safe.
🤍 Kristina thanked the church for their constant prayers during her pregnancy, and for the fact that just knowing we are praying for her and Baby has helped her to overcome her anxiety. Gratefully, she has entered her third trimester and is so thankful to have come this far by God's grace. Please continue to pray; she has an upcoming appointment and appreciates all of your prayers for continued good results.
We also pray for:
🙏🏽Carvin, Astrid’s friend, who is desperately in need of healing and new kidney after his transplant surgery was canceled due to him having COVID. May the lord protect him as he awaits a new kidney.
🙏🏽Jakiyah, Jordan’s son, who is battling COVID.
🙏🏽 Sue, Angy’s best friend, will be giving up smoking. Pray that the Lord will give her all of the strength, determination and courage she will need to make this positive change in her life.
🙏🏽 Vasthi challenged the church members to each do one thing this year to advance the Kingdom of God in this new year of 2022.
🙏🏽 Maria asked for prayer for her husband, David and her son, Jordan, as they both tested positive for COVID. May God protect and heal them . She also asked that we pray for her sister, Jeanette, who is also battling a very bad case of COVID, and is in need of prayer.
🙏🏽 UPDATE: Jeanette reported that her husband, Carlitos, is also sick. Please pray for him as well. May they all be healed!
🙏🏽 Gilbert asked that we please also pray for Christian, Jytza, Tamara, Bethany, and Evelyn, as they are all battling COVID symptoms.
🙏🏽 Norma asked that we pray for her brother, Henry, who is also fighting COVID.
🙏🏽 Our sister, Carole also tested positive toy COVID, and Is in need of prayer. She’s also requesting prayer for her nephew, Johnny, who has a very severe case of COVID. May God touch them both with His healing hand!
Tonight’s Devotional was graciously shared by Joy.
Positive changes are the thing we all strive for and await more at this time of year than any other. Imagine if every person in the church resolved to make these positive changes!
Let’s ask God to help us make these positive changes and become more like the people Tree has called us to be!
Have a great 2022, Lighthouse Church! 🥳
Let’s Resolve to:
Never compromise our character in search of success, recognition or even progress.
Consistently walk by faith in all areas of our lives – personally, professionally and spiritually.
Pray earnestly before we make major decisions and ask others to join us in discerning God’s direction.
Extend grace generously, determined to never hold a grudge, and realize mistakes are a part of healthy growth.
Protect our family time – never compromising it in the name of money.
Make our personal health a priority. As much as it depends on us, let's discipline ourselves to stay healthy physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually .
Allow trials and challenges to draw us closer to Christ and to shape our characters so it's more like His
Love others unconditionally – ESPECIALLY those with whom we do not agree.
Empower and invest in others, at home, at work, in our friendship circles, and at church, giving them opportunities to grow as individuals by encouraging them and cheering them on.
Surround ourselves with wise and moral influencers, allowing at least a few people access to know and speak into the most private parts of our lives. Accountability partners are a gift from God.
I Love the resolutions🙌🏽
