This week, we praise God for:
💟 Vasthi is grateful to God for His faithfulness towards her and her health. She is also grateful for a wonderful Bible Study Group and the opportunity to know God more intimately, and invites all to join us at 10 am each Sabbath!
💟 Pat praised God for the hope we are seeing with the pandemic, and for the opportunities we have had to grow spiritually.
💟Heaven Lee is grateful for God taking care of her mom after her COVID shot, for taking care of her sister, her grandma and her while family, even Skylar’s dog, Sparky.
💟 Astrid is grateful for God's goodness regarding the right house in Georgia. She also asked us to pray that God will help them to carry the Good News wherever they are. She is grateful that Alex is graduating and going off to college, and asks that we continue to pray for him and their family!
💟 Carole is grateful for a God who hears and answers prayer!
💟 Damaris is praising God that Breanna will be graduating high school this week, and is so very proud of all of her accomplishments! 🎓 She asks that everyone pray for graduation to go well!
💟 All of the young people,every Sabbath at the Lighthouse. Their willingness to help, to serve and to lead are an inspiration to everyone. We are so veryy BLESSED to have each of them! 🤗
We are also praying for:
🛐 Seth’s MRI day is on Monday and Kristina is asking for prayers that everything will go well, that Seth will handle it well, and that his doctors will have the answers they need to provide the best case and treatment plan for Seth.
🛐 Micharen's uncle, Ismael. He is not doing well and had been in and out of the hospital recently. Praying for God's presence, love and mercy surround him, his wife and his family.
🛐 Micharen's dad, who lost his brother back in the Dominican Republic. May the Lord give him strength and courage, and may He grant the family peace and comfort.
🛐 Nancy, Sue's sister-in-law, as she continues her three week radiation treatment for cancer. May God give her strength and healing.
🛐 Vasthi asks the church to pray for her nephew, Mikey, for Cedric and for all of our young people.
🛐The Edmond Family requested prayer for traveling mercies and a safe trip. May the Lord also continue to guide and lead them as they plan their move to Georgia.
🛐 Zully, Sue's other sister-in-law, who is also fighting cancer. May God be with her and help her to feel his presence.
🛐 Nelly's grandson, Jordan, as he faces a very difficult time in his life. May anything God allows in his life bring Jordan closer to Him!
🛐 Pat asks her church family to pray that God will help her on her journey towards good health.
🛐 Our brother, John Vega, will begin radiation treatment on Tuesday. Pray for God’s protection and healing.
🛐 Nelly, and for answers to her health questions. May God grant her team of doctors the wisdom they need to figure out this mystery.
🛐 Bianca, Vishal and Sebastian Suri. May the Lord shower their beautiful family with blessings from above.
🛐 Rosa and her daughters, their husbands and their children.
🛐 Angelica, as she continues to walk through the doors God is opening for her.
🛐 Doris, and her daughters, Jackie, Amanda and their children, Skylar, Heaven Lee, Dorian, Zaire and Amir. May God keep working miracles in their lives.

Have you ever been there? Have you ever had a big situation in your life where you just couldn’t process why God would allow this to happen? Maybe it's one of your young children having behavioral issues that seems crazy complicated and daunting. Or one of your older children having issues with addictions and devastating life choices. Or your husband being distant or possibly even destructive in making choices that are harming your marriage. Or another year of singleness that brings you wave after wave of grief, while watching others celebrating the gift of true love.
It’s so tempting to wallow in the "why."
Asking why is perfectly normal. Asking why isn’t unspiritual. However, if asking this question pushes us further from God rather than drawing us closer to Him, it is the wrong question.
If asking the why question doesn’t offer hope, what will? The what question. In other words: "Now that this is my reality, what am I supposed to do with it?"
Philippians 4:8 says, "Finally brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable — if anything is excellent or praiseworthy — think about such things.”
