Good evening, Family! 🇺🇸
Thanks for your concern. I had a family emergency to deal with and just did not have the time to get to the devotional before 10 pm. I appreciate your understanding and your care. 💕
This week, we praise God for:
💟The Edmond family, who tested negative for Covid, even though they were exposed. May God continue to protect them.
💟Granting Nelson's wife and mother-in-law each another year of life. He's also extremely thankful for our church family.
💟 Seth being able to be back in school after being shut down temporarily. May He continue to thrive from in-person instruction and may God continue to protect him.
We are also praying for:
🛐 Carole's daughter, Racheal, who had contracted Covid, and is a severe asthmatic. She is having a difficult time breathing and needs healing and protection from the Lord. Racheal has two young children, Elijah and Brianna, who depend on and need her.
🛐 Nelly, that the Lord might guide her doctors to figure out what is causing these episodes, so that they can be avoided and controlled.
🛐 The family of Louie Irizzary, Carole's dear friend, whom we had been praying for after he was hospitalized for Covid and placed on a ventilator. Louie passed away earlier this week while surrounded by his family. 💔 Please pray for the Irizzary Family and all those who loved him, including our sister, Carole.
🛐Astrid's sister-in-law, as she is also fighting Covid and in need of a touch from the Lord.
🛐Our country to heal and to recognize their need of the Lord.
🛐Our country to heal and to recognize their need of the Lord.
🛐Jordan and Zeus as they travel back to Tennessee. Also, for God's protection and guidance over our Jordan as he goes to coach college ball before resuming his professional career.
🛐Seth's teacher, Mrs. Muñoz and her baby girls, who were born prematurely and are in the NICU. May God bless and protect those precious babies and the Muñoz family as they navigate this difficult journey.
🛐 Anna Ortiz, who was in cancer remission, but the cancer has returned with a vengeance and is now in her bones. Please pray for her during this process. Pray for her family as well!
🛐Jandel, who is in need of surgery for the shunt in his brain. May the Lord Himself direct the doctors, nurses and everyone else involved with his surgery.
🛐 Angy's great-nephew, Jakiyah, who was not feeling well and exhibiting symptoms that could be Covid or the common cold. May God watch over and protect him and Nelly, since he spent time with her on the evening he was not feeling well.
🛐Sue and fer family. Her mom, Olga, has been battling Covid for a couple of weeks now and as many of you know, needed to be transported to the hospital last week. May God place His healing hand on Olga and restore her to good health. May He do the same for Sue's brother, Frank, as he is also battling Covid.
I want to thank our sister, Carole, knew I had a family emergency yesterday and sent a verse and thought to share in case I needed a devotional today. Thank you, Carole, for your willingness to help.💜
While I did have a devotional for today, it's clear that God was at work. The l verse and thought complimented the devotional perfectly.👌🏽
This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person.
The old life is gone; a new life has begun. The new life is full of delights of GOD and his love and promises.
Amen..

Today's Devotional is the first time sharing for Tiffany. 💞 Thanks so much, Tiff! 💓
January in general is a time of new beginnings and gives us all an opportunity to reflect on our past, and our future. Every four years, January also offers us as a country the promise of a new beginning with Inauguration Day. Thinking back on the years past, what are the things that bring us joy? What things do we look back on with regret? These are the questions we all think about as Americans.
The Bible has a lot to offer on the topic of new beginnings and the prevailing theme is always the same, regardless of the situation: the very BEST beginnings start with Jesus. When we begin with Jesus, we can be sure that our hearts and minds are in the right place. That no matter what comes next, we are building upon a strong foundation.
Our nation's inauguration is not just about a new beginning because of new leadership. It can be a new start that begins with each of us and spreads outward through our families, neighborhoods and churches. Regardless of the political back and forth, we can each decide INDIVIDUALLY to start new with how we react and engage with others. Are we beginning each conversation and interaction with JESUS? Don't defend your political views, or your candidate. Instead, start defending JESUS by the way we treat others and how we make decisions for those we are called to love!
I asked at the beginning of this that we look back and think about what brought us joy and what brought us a sense of regret. Jesus brings joy. He never brings regret. If we could change anything, it should be to have more Jesus...in everything we do. In our relationships. In our conversations. In our activities. In our ministries. IN OUR NEW BEGINNINGS.
Be an agent of real change, not just during this time of new beginnings within our nation, but every day. Do this in your home, at work, in your neighborhood and in your country by beginning anew with Jesus. God bless you all.
