Good evening, Family!๐ฌ
This week, we praise God for:
๐ All of our family members, friends and neighbors whoโve recovered from Covid. We donโt take for granted that many people have died from this disease and we are so grateful for His mercy!
๐ Astrid is grateful for her niece, who not only came out of a coma, but is so grateful to God that she is encouraging others, in spite of all she has been through, including not being able to walk yet. May we all learn a lesson from her, and letโs pray that God will keep working in her life!
We are also praying for:
๐ Jose, a member of Nelson's local, who was in the hospital with Covid. He passed away late last night. May God grant his family peace and comfort.
๐ Liz, the daughter of Nelly's neighbor. She had to be admitted to the hospital with COVID, and her condition has worsened. Please pray for healing.
๐Vasthi's coworker, Maria, who had back surgery and is need of healing and a full recovery.
๐ Monkey. He is showing signs on some improvement, but we are all still very limited because of pain.๐พ๐พ
๐ All those who are battling Covid at this moment, including Angรฉlica's friend, Michelle. May God grant them healing.
๐ Anna Ortiz, who was in cancer remission, but the cancer has returned with a vengeance and is now in her bones. Please pray for her during this process. Pray for her family as well!
Today's Devotional was shared by Melanie.๐งก
I recently had my tires rotated by the same garage who does work for many people in my family. I drove away and got on the highway back to my home, the whole time listening to the music in the radio and running about all the things that happened at work, and how much I would have to do when I got to work the next day. I guess you could say I was complaining all the way home.
When I took my exit, I heard a funny noise. I thought to myself that maybe the bottom of my car scraped across the mountain of snow near the curb. I kept driving though I felt the car wobbling a little bit. It just never crossed my mind that there could be anything really wrong. Just when I turned on my street I felt a giant bump and then my car started to really lean to one side. Before I knew it, the car was completely on its side and I was looking at the passenger side above me.
Neighbors came running to right the car and help me out. My passenger side tires had fallen off. One right after the other! The lug nuts were nowhere to be found! Only God knows how long I had been driving like that and never realized. My neighbor said to me, "God kept you until you made it home for us to help you!"
After talking and waiting for my neighbors to get by tires on safely, I walked into the house and put my things down. It was then that I noticed I had 32 missed calls and several messages. They were all from the garage. When I listened to the messages, my knees buckled and I had to sit on the first chair I found. Albert, the owner had frantically shouted into my phone that he didn't know where I went after he told me NOT TO TAKE THE CAR, because he was waiting on one of his guys to come back with new hug nuts from the parts store because mine were so rusted, they had broken off!!!
Don't ask me where my head was when I greeted Albert that afternoon. I don't know what I thought I heard, but my mind was definitely somewhere else. God had to step in and keep those tires on my car for 11 miles until I got to my street. There was no other explanation. Then he let me flip on my side so that I would realize the danger I had been in all the way home!
When was the last time YOU were too self-centered to hear others? Too ungrateful to see what God had been done for you without your notice? Thank Him today. Thank Him always.
Melanie, thank you for reminding us that OUR GOD IS AWESOME...
