Today's rousing Devotional, submitted by Bianca Suri, will energize our prayer lives with the assurance that we pray to a God who eagerly awaits hearing from each of us.👂🏼Thank you, Bianca, for being a catalyst to a more robust prayer life for us all! 🙏🏽
Prayer is a two way conversation, it’s us talking to God and He talking to us. One of my favorite of God’s many promises is that “Whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them”. Mark 11:24
I sometimes struggle with prayer. I oftentimes believe that my needs/desires/worries/pains/thoughts are frivolous compared to those of others. It seems like such an adolescent thought, I know. As I get older, I realize that this is a lie and an underlying insecurity, and if fed into it always leaving me feeling hopeless.
I recently came across a quote by one of my favorite authors and it reminded why we should always seek God in prayer, guilt free!
“God has infinite attention, infinite leisure to spare for each one of us. He doesn't have to take us in the line. You're as much alone with Him as if you were the only thing He'd ever created.”
- C.S. Lewis
Can you imagine a God so powerful? Not only does he hear our prayers but he is alone with each and every one of us. Whatever prayer looks like in your life, I hope you remember that God longs to hear from you. He has infinite love and attention! What a wonderful thing! ♾♥️
