Happy Friday Eve, Family!💕
This week, we praise God for:☝🏽
Answered prayers and breakthroughs for Skylar and her family. May God keep working in all of their lives.
María, and her continued healing after knee surgery. May the same powerful God who knit her together mend whatever needs mending.
This week, we are praying for:
• The Jones Family, specifically Hugh (Andrew and Danielle's dad) and his parents. They all contracted Covid while Hugh was visiting them in Arizona. Grandpa Jones had it and unknowingly passed it on to Grandma Jones and to Hugh. Let's pray for healing and protection for each of them, as they have underlying health issues and are at greater risk. Keep Andrew and Danielle in your prayers as well during this time of waiting.
• The Torstrup Family, whose daughter recently had a baby but is unable to care for the baby due to a struggle with drugs. They are older and having to care for the baby, so it is a very difficult situation.
. OUR BELOVED SETH. 💙 One of his therapists noticed a curve in his spine and fears it might be scoliosis, which would be related to the issues with his legs and walking on his toes. Let's pray for the Lord to touch Seth's body with His healing power...from his tiniest toe to the tippy top of his head and everything in between! We serve a miracle-working God; let's boldly ask for a miracle on his behalf!
• Sori Cardona, widow of Pastor Cardona. She is a very dear person to so many of us who came from the Spanish church. She fell at home last week and needed emergency surgery and is also experiencing kidney failure. She can use our most fervent prayers!
• Virginia and her family as they move through the grief process for her mother, Soledad Rodriguez. Also keep Virginia's marriage and family in your prayers. Still asking for a miracle.
• Rose, who needs a miracle!
• Norma’s friend, Tracy, as she moves through her cancer treatment.
• Evelyn's cousin, Maribel. Her family is searching for an institution that can care for her needs. May God guide their search.
• Charen's aunt and uncle, still battling cancer. May every step in this journey bring them closer to Jesus.
• Our little brother, Alex, as he becomes a licensed driver.
• Charen's cousin, Elkie, who is battling cancer and needs healing.
• Awilda, Peter's mom, throughout her recovery. Please keep her in prayer.
• Jordan Gonzalez and his puppy, Zeus; while he's away from home pursuing his ⚾️ career.
• Michael, Angelica's boyfriend, that the Lord will help him to find a job.
• All of the families who are grieving, including: The Guzman Family, the Bosques Family, Wanda's family, Mr. Bouchard and his family, Timmy's family, John's family.😢
• Lynn, as she continues to battle cancer while holding on to Jesus!
• Antoinette, also diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and is in need of a miracle.
• Skylar, and SUPERNATURAL healing of heart and mind for her and her family: Jackie, Heaven Lee, and Doris.
• Nelson's son, Santi, and his family as he seeks the Lord and His influence in their lives.
• Carole and her family as they wait upon the Lord for Elijah's custody resolution.
Today's Devotional, filled with gratitude and sincerity, and submitted by Karina Guerrero-Perez, absolutely speaks for itself. ☺️ Thank you, Karina, for expressing it so beautifully! 💖
Hebrews 10:24-25
“And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.”
As I was preparing to write this devotional I knew that more than anything, I wanted to write something to express my gratitude for the most amazing, supportive, loving, and devoted church family that I could have ever asked for. With Thanksgiving coming up, I have been thinking of all the ways God has blessed me throughout this year and throughout my life. His protection, His guidance, His favor, and Him placing each and every one of you in my life, make me the most blessed lady in the world!
In 2020, when so many people have felt so alone and disconnected, we have all come together and somehow managed to feel closer and closer each and every week. Through our devotionals, our words of encouragement, our virtual services, the way we greet one another when we see each other onscreen - all of it has helped us to stir one another up to love and good works! 💞We have certainly not neglected to meet together, in the only way that we can right now. We have encouraged and lifted one another up as that Day draws nearer.
This year, I want to publicly declare that I am SO thankful for a church family that has made getting through all the craziness of this year a lot easier. I knew you were praying for Alejandro while on deployment and I could feel your love and concern for us while we were away from each other, just like I could feel your genuine joy and love when we got married! What a blessing you all have been to me, and are now to us!💗
Know that I pray for each and every one of you daily and I can feel your prayers working in my life each and every day.
This is my prayer for each of you this Thanksgiving:
"May the Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make His face shine upon you and be gracious unto you; the Lord look upon you with favor and give you peace.” (Num. 6:24-26)
Thank you for all that you do for The Lighthouse at Riverside. Know that you are all so integral to making our family so special. God bless you all. 🥰
Thank you, princess for being a blessing in our lives as well!May God continue to bless you and prince Alejandro. I love very much.
