Devotional for December 22, 2020

Good evening, Family! 🎄

Do you remember when, at the beginning of this month, I mentioned that we were giving everyone the month off from Devotional Duty because we knew it would be a very busy time for all? 🤔

I apologize for missing Devotional Duty a couple of times in the past two weeks, but it's been a pretty busy time for me!😁 Don't know how I didn't see that coming! 🤷🏻‍♀️ Please forgive me.

However, I want to share with all of you that because of your unparalleled generosity throughout the year, the leadership team at the Lighthouse at Riverside has been very busy finding ways to bless families who would benefit from a little extra light🔦from those who represent the Light of the World!🌟 (That's us, right?)

This is important to share with each of you because we never want you to forget that at the Lighthouse at Riverside, we don't ask you to give TO MINISTRY. We encourage you to give THROUGH MINISTRY! 💛 That means that your donations flow through The Lighthouse and out into our communities and world as God brings needs to our attention. This Christmas, many families experienced a Christmas miracle because of your generosity! 🎁 More than that, throughout the year we are able to deliver gifts and desperately needed supplies to homeless shelters, veterans' and nursing homes. We support our first responders and nursing staff at critical care centers. We provide emotional and spiritual support to those who are sick, shut-in, or going through difficult times with Weeks of Love. THANK YOU! 🥰 NONE OF THIS WOULD BE POSSIBLE WITHOUT YOUR KINDNESS AND GENEROSITY. 💝 May God continue to bless each of you and may you always experience the blessings that come from giving! 😇

This week, we praise God for:☝🏽

• Answered prayers for Bianca and Vishal! They both recently asked us to pray about their jobs, and Bianca reports that Vishal was offered a full- time job AND a promotion! Also, Bianca, who is working again after being called back to work from furlough, retained her title, minus the more grueling part of her job, and she is VERY grateful! 🙌🏽 Would you each PLEASE give the Lord a shout of praise for this good news and His faithfulness? The Suris stayed in their new home this weekend...say a prayer for their new beginning! 🏡

• How God is working behind the scenes in the lives of so many!

• The miracles Evelyn's family has seen in her cousin, Miguel. He is breathing on his own and no longer on a ventilator and he responds to his name when we call him; he moves his head a little bit towards the window, Let's keep Miguel in our prayers! God is on His throne and listening!

This week, we are praying for:🙏

. OUR BELOVED SETH, who is scheduled for an xray this week. May the Lord move in Seth's body once again and use this opportunity to bring glory to His name!☝🏽 We know God has never failed Seth and won't start now!

• Our sister, Charen (Micharen, Mich), who underwent unplanned surgery last week, and is now home and resting. Let's pray for a full and expedient recovery!

• The Guerrero Family. Nelson's dad lost his beloved brother last week. Due to the storm and explosive Covid numbers, he was unable to travel to Puerto Rico for the funeral. Pray that God would give him peace and comfort during this heartbreaking time.

• Joann, the wife of someone Nelson represents. She is having surgery for lung cancer. May the Lord touch her life and her illness.

• My sister, Cassandra and nephew, Elijah as they await their Covid test results. Pray for God's protection over them and their entire household.

• Arnold, as he continues to battle Covid. May He experience Jesus ' presence like never before.

• The Jones Family, especially for Andrew and Danielle, as they mourn the loss of their Grandpa from Covid. 💔May God strengthen them and their family. Asking that God will keep His hand over Grandma in the hospital and if it His Will, that she might be made well enough in order to attend Grandpa's funeral at the end of the month. We trust Him to do what's best.

• Virginia and Erick, who are currently in a season of financial hardship. Let's pray that the Lord will help Erick to find a good job and that they will be able to get back on their feet soon.

• Our sister, Janette Harnett, who lost her beloved dog. May God grant her comfort during this difficult time.

• The baby girl Charen asked us to pray for, as she was just diagnosed with cancer. Charen didn't know her name, but we know God does.

• The Williams Family, who've experienced several deaths in the family over the past several weeks. May God continue to grant them strength and peace during this very difficult time.

• Protection over John, as he undergoes a medical procedure this week. May God grant him a clean bill of health.

• Caylie Cardona, as she moves to MD for school. May she always seek God's guidance in every decision she makes.

• The Torstrup Family, whose daughter recently had a baby but is unable to care for the baby due to a struggle with drugs. They are older and having to care for the baby, so it is a very difficult situation.

• Norma’s friend, Tracy, as she moves through her cancer treatment.

• Charen's aunt and uncle, still battling cancer. May every step in this journey bring them closer to Jesus.

• Our little brother, Alex, as he becomes a licensed driver.

• Charen's cousin, Elkie, who is battling cancer and needs healing.

• Awilda, Peter's mom, throughout her recovery. Please keep her in prayer...God is listening and Peter reports that she is improving!

• Michael, Angelica's boyfriend, that the Lord will help him to find a job.

• All of the families who are grieving, ESPECIALLY during the holidays, including: The Guzman Family, the Bosques Family, Wanda's family, Mr. Bouchard and his family, Timmy's family, John's family.😢

• Lynn, as she continues to battle cancer while holding on to Jesus!

• Antoinette, also diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and is in need of a miracle.

• Skylar, and SUPERNATURAL healing of heart and mind for her and her family: Jackie, Heaven Lee, and Doris.

• Nelson's son, Santi, and his family as he seeks the Lord and His influence in their lives.
